"The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"
"The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" is a novel written by Robert Lewis Stevenson and published in 1886.
It narrates through lawyer Utterson's point of view the errands of Dr. Henry Jekyll, one of his closest friends, and Mr. Hyde, a repulsive short man who seems to be under Jekyll's protection.
Mr. Utterson will gradually discover that Mr. Hyde is actually the evil part of Dr. Jekyll, who experimented a medicine he created on himself in order to definetly separate his evil unconcious half from his good part.
The novel ends with the prevalence of Hyde on Dr. Jekyll, even if the latter's last concious will permitts him to attempt suicide, and with Utterson understanding all what was going on through Jekyll's written confession.
